It has hired Simon Russell, head of comms at drinks firm Matthew Clark, to lead the Bristol office as regional director. Reekie PR founder Iain Reekie has been named MD of the Scottish subsidiary, which retains its name.
The enlarged group will aim this year for a combined full-year income of £1.6m on turnover of £3m with 31 staff.
Freshwater UK chief exec Steve Howell said it planned further acquisitions to create a regional agency network. ‘The regional structure allows you to be closer to journalists on behalf of national clients who want regional PR, and you can be closer to regional clients who want national service,’ he said.
