GCG’s Ferraro in UK takeover talks

Former US Democrat vice-presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro, now executive V-P of New York-based Global Consulting Group (GCG), has held acquisition talks with UK public affairs and corporate communications agencies.

Ferraro, who was in London last week to mark GCG’s purchase of London and Brussels PA and corporate comms outfit Ergo Communications, said she planned a follow-up visit in the new year.

‘We are in the initial stages of talking to other agencies,’ she said. ‘We want to make sure that whatever firm comes in, it is aligned to our culture.’

The Ergo buy has bolstered Huntsworth-owned GCG’s client portfolio with the likes of Mars and Volvo.
