Specsavers, of course, is no stranger to football-linked promotional possibilities (it, for example, sponsors Scotland's football referees) but we couldn't help but wonder how it had secured this particular PR tie-up, which saw a Nuts prankster visiting Highbury and a Specsavers store for a photoshoot.
But it transpires that Nuts's news editor contacted Specsavers and asked the company if it would play along with their gag, rather than the other way round.
Amanda Fry, account manager at Specsavers' PR agency Beattie Communications, reflects: 'Men's magazines usually (only) contact us when they want to borrow sexy secretarial-style glasses for photoshoots.
'This was an ideal opportunity for some more appropriate on-brand messaging,' she adds.
Glad to have seen it.
