CONSUMER: First Choice is using PR agency piranhaKid to promote its sponsorship of the fourth series of ITV show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. The show kicks off this Sunday.

TELECOMS: Phones4u head of PR Damian Peachey has left the company after only seven months in the job. Peachey, who is considering his options, quit alongside marketing director Paul Hamburger and two other senior marketers.

CONSUMER: Euro RSCG Biss Lancaster was this week confirmed as the PR agency to handle the upcoming launch of Danone Waters’ next bottled water product – an extension of its Shape yoghurt brand – as tipped in PRWeek (24 September). The agency will help launch three flavours of the drink next year.

CONSUMER: Online DVD rental company Netflix has closed its London office with the loss of up to three staff – including UK head of PR Nick Chaloner. Chaloner and Netflix’s Californian headquarters did not return calls.

CONSUMER: The Lawn Tennis Association has re-appointed Exposure to handle consumer PR after a competitive pitch (PRWeek, 12 November). A ‘hard-hitting’ campaign seeking to harness more celebrities as advocates of the game will aim to promote tennis to the youth market, Exposure said.

AWARDS WINS: Wild Card won PR Campaign of the Year at last week’s National Business Awards for its work for Gü Chocolate Puds. Also last week, The Fish Can Sing won Best Publication at the Marketing Design Awards for work for Motorola.
