Connetics hires CS for Evoclin job

PALO ALTO, CA: US-based drugs firm Connetics is working with Communications Strategies (CS) to promote its foam acne medication Evoclin.

The product, which received Food and Drug Administration approval last month, is being positioned as a pimple-fighter that can be used over large areas of the body. It is not sticky and will not stain clothes, according to a company product manager.

The agency is handling media relations, consumer education, and third-party development, said agency SV-P Pat Garrison.

CS has hired Megan James Roberts from Cohn & Wolfe to manage accounts for Connetics and King Pharmaceuticals. CS is also handling PR for Velac, an acne product under development.
