Centrica’s Naylor back in Credit Suisse Group job

ZURICH: Swiss financial services giant Credit Suisse Group is set to appoint former Centrica director of corporate affairs Charles Naylor as head of group communications.

Naylor, whose role at Centrica was axed earlier this year (PRWeek, 11 June), is to take up the expanded role of chief comms officer on 6 December following last week’s exit of head of group comms Karin Rhomberg to set up her own PR agency.

Based in Zurich, Naylor will report to Credit Suisse Group board director and head of corporate centre and general counsel Urs Rohner, and will be in charge of more than 100 PA and comms staff.

These PROs cover all the comms functions of Credit Suisse Group’s main subsidiaries: private, corporate and retail banking arm Credit Suisse, institutional securities and asset management arm Credit Suisse First Boston, and pensions and insurance brand Winterthur.

Naylor, who speaks German, will also head the group’s language services division, which translates company documents.
