It is looking to hire a head of comms to lead a rejigged team of three permanent comms officers, a media manager, a team assistant and several freelances.
The group’s current PR department consists of three temporary communications officers, one permanent member of staff and an interim head of comms.
Its last head of comms, Paula Robinson, left a year ago and was only replaced temporarily two months ago by interim head of comms Lisa Wimborne, who said the incoming head of comms would be given a free reign to look at hiring external PR support.
Priorities for the new staff will include developing and implementing a brand identity for the group, raising awareness among residents about the interactive website service and ensuring external stakeholders perceive the group as financially secure.
