The recently relaunched register of local government PROs currently boasts ten authorities with experience in crisis comms – and the LGG is looking for more, LGG secretary Jon Whowell told PRWeek.
‘It is an informal unpaid network and we are looking for people experienced in local government comms and who know how to liaise with the blue-light services to deal with major incidents such as train crashes,’ he said.
Volunteers need to be members of the IPR and preferably members of the LGG.
