As part of a ‘branding and communications project’, project leader North Lanarkshire has launched a hunt for private sector PR support for the 33-month programme that kicks off in April next year.
Work includes the development of a comms plan, the development of a brand image, PR, ad campaigns for business opportunities on derelict land and strategic sites and the development of information packs.
The area, a former centre of the mining and steel industries, has been blighted by crime and low educational standards – but it now boasts low crime rates and high-performing schools, according to the councils.
The two-pronged project, which ties in with two other schemes to boost tourism as well as promote Lanarkshire to its existing residents, is aimed at attracting both people and businesses.
