Ketchum calls in Kelly for advice

Former Daily Mirror deputy editor Des Kelly is to work for PR agency Ketchum as a media consultant.

Kelly, who left the Mirror in June, will run a weekly media advisory session for the agency’s consumer and sports PR consultants, while also advising agency clients such as Adidas, Pepsi and Carlsberg-Tetley.

Kelly will focus on attempting to ensure that Ketchum clients’ sports links receive optimal media coverage.

The agency has also promoted Rob Flaherty, Paul Baverstock and John Weckenmann to lead its global corporate practice. Baverstock is corporate practice European director, US-based Flaherty is MD of the practice and Weckenmann is North American global corporate practice director.
