Hammersmith in comms revamp

The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham is to shake up its comms function following advice from consultancy Tribal MPC.

The review was prompted by the departure of former head of comms Carol McMahon, who left in January.

The team is to recruit for another dedicated internal communications post, doubling the number of internal comms staff to two.

Other vacancies include a head of communications, an internal communications manager and two press and publicity officers.

Head of press and publicity Louise Raisey said: ‘We have not had someone on staff communications for many years and the most striking part of the review outlined this.’

The head of communications will report to director of policy and administration Henry Peterson.
