According to Texto partner director Jane Cruz, the agency was selected on the basis of an agency presentation without a formal pitch process. Cruz is a personal friend of Herbert Spektor, who launched RedDot in Brazil a year ago.
'Herbert wanted an aggressive agency. He was familiar with our work and liked our presentation and the results we deliver for our clients,' Cruz said.
Texto will provide media relations, under the leadership of account co-ordinator Ana Paula Soares, and her assistant Ana Paula Yokoyama, who report directly to Spektor.
Founded in Oldenburg, Germany, RedDot is currently headquartered in New York and provides software to corporations including FedEd, Kraft Food and Honda.
The corporation's Sao Paulo office heads operations in the Latin American region. Local clients include SEW-Eurodrive in Brazil, and mining company Codelco, in Chile.
Texto was founded nine years ago and is based in Sao Paulo. The agency account portfolio includes the local divisions of optical giant Cannon and fast food chain Subway.
