EDS’s Trimming takes up SAP role

Computer outsourcing company EDS’s director of government affairs Matthew Trimming has quit to join software company SAP in the role of corporate affairs and marketing director.

Trimming takes charge of the firm’s relations with Whitehall and Westminster and reports to director of strategy and development Ian Swann.

He is representing the firm’s interests on a raft of issues including the adoption of radio frequency identification technology. The company claims concerns about privacy are impeding development.

EDS director of marcoms for UK, Ireland and Africa Malcolm George said he was in the advanced stages of recruiting Trimming’s successor.
