FH grabs brief for Liverpool Victoria

Liverpool Victoria, the UK’s largest friendly society, has dropped Lansons Communications after six years as it prepares its fight-back on the benefits of with-profits policies.

LV head of external affairs Nigel Snell said it had appointed Fishburn Hedges following a four-way pitch that included the incumbent.

Snell would not comment on the other agencies involved, although it is understood that Citigate Dewe Rogerson and Mainland also pitched for an account thought to be worth around £10,000 a month.

With-profits policies – criticism of which triggered an FSA review in 2002 – are a significant part of LV’s business.
