The charity provides nurses and healthcare practitioners with training on the secondary prevention of heart disease and heart failure care.
It is looking to expand its course, offering to focus on other areas of cardiovascular disease, such as strokes, and to raise money to fund research into the training of heart-disease professionals.
Primary care trusts, NHS acute trusts, strategic health authorities and individual practitioners are being targeted, along with professional journals and NHS news publications
It has hired GCI Healthcare to run the campaign, which will kick off with
the launch of Heartsave’s chronic-disease management diploma, in conjunction with the National Respiratory Training Centre and Warwick Diabetic Care.
