Powerscourt in Kelso TETRA deal

Private equity company Kelso Place Asset Management has drafted in Powerscourt to advise Kelso’s TETRA radio network firm Sepura ahead of a possible IPO.

Powerscourt co-founder Rory Godson reports to Kelso principal and Sepura chairman Sion Kearsey. Godson is briefed to raise Sepura’s profile as a provider of TETRA radio network components to the emergency services and as a competitor to other main suppliers Nokia and Motorola.

Godson may also have a hand in an IPO of Sepura, which Kelso bought two and a half years ago. Godson worked closely with Kearsey at Goldman Sachs, where Kearsey was an MD until 1999.
