Vicorp listing prompts comms drive

Voice recognition and data company Vicorp has launched a financial comms push ahead of its listing on OFEX, the market for unlisted and unquoted securities.

Vicorp has appointed Binns & Co to handle the financial PR offensive around the public offering, and has already raised £500,000 through a placing with both institutional and private investors.

The company hopes to join OFEX at the end of this month, then move to AIM within the next 12 months. Opening market capitalisation for the firm has been put at around £6.5m.

Vicorp made a turnover of £1.36m for the year to 31 December 2003. Its entry to OFEX follows the unveiling of Vicorp’s xMP software last year. This is used by call centres, telecoms operators and commercial organisations to manage calls via a voice activated multiple choice system.

Binns CEO Peter Binns is running the account and reports to Vicorp CEO Brendan Treacy. Vicorp has also appointed Grey Associates to handle its trade PR.
