Innovation Group drops Square Mile

Insurance management software group The Innovation Group has dropped Weber Shandwick Square Mile as its financial comms adviser, ending a relationship lasting four years.

The group, which makes programs designed to help insurance companies to process their claims more efficiently, has taken on Smithfield to handle its City PR work.

Formed in 1997, TIG has used WSSM since its flotation on the London Stock Exchange in 2000.

WSSM associate director Sara Musgrave continues to handle the account after joining Smithfield as associate director.

The Innovation Group made a pre-tax profit of £3m for the first half of this year and is forecast to make £7.5m for 2004.
