Open Investment to appoint UK adviser

Moscow: Russian real-estate investment fund Open Investment Company is poised to appoint a UK financial comms adviser as it pushes forward its ambitious expansion plans.

The company has shortlisted two PR agencies to advise it on how to attract City investors. The winning firm will report to Open Investment director-general Sergei Batchin.

Open Investment was founded in 2002 by Interros, one of Russia’s biggest private investment firms, which has about £5.5bn in assets under management.

Open Investment is a consolidation of Interros’s assets in the real-estate sector. The company is involved in construction, leasing and real-estate sales.

It develops office, retail and entertainment centres and has acquired large plots of land in Moscow. The company is active in residential projects in the Russian capital, as well as in St Petersburg and other major cities across the country.
