PITCH: Telewest Business is pitching its B2B account and has shortlisted four agencies. The incumbent agency on the account is icas PR. Telewest Business head of PR Tony Henderson said the firm wanted to boost its profile with trade and technical analysts.

APPOINTMENT: Jill Rawlins has been appointed director of comms at the Countryside Agency. She formerly worked as head of comms at pubs firm Spirit Group and head of corporate affairs at supermarket chain Somerfield.

CONSUMER: Ubisoft, Europe’s second-biggest computer games publisher, has hired Cancan Communications to promote five titles in the run up to Christmas. Cancan is to plug titles such as Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell and Playboy: The Mansion.

APPOINTMENT: Laura Shelbourne has left McCluskey International to join The Big PR Agency as associate director. She joins the luxury travel and hospitality specialist after more than six years with McCluskey.

MEDIA RELATIONS: US jewellery retailer Tiffany & Co has confirmed the appointment of Halpern to handle UK PR following a competitive pitch (PRWeek, 23 July). The agency reports to UK MD Barbara Kovacs and UK PR and marketing manager Alexandra Meyers.

APPOINTMENT: Tech research company Forrester Research has appointed Unisys PR manager for EMEA systems and technology Belinda Simmelink as PR manager for Europe. Simmelink replaces Clive Savage, who joined Porter Novelli earlier this year (PRWeek 16 April).

FASHION: CoalitionTotal. Communi- cation is to stage a media event at London’s Sanderson Hotel on 26 August to launch a fashion brand called Perfect Clothing. Model Sophie Anderton, just signed up as the European face of the brand, has been slated to brief journalists about the collection.
