SAP calls in Sorek to lead unified PR

WALLDORF, GERMANY: Software giant SAP has unified its comms divisions as part of the final stage of a global PR restructure.

The firm has poached International Federation of the Red Cross and Red

Crescent Societies (IFRC) director of global comms Chris Sorek to head a combined global department.

As senior vice-president of public comms, Sorek heads a 20-strong team.

Sorek’s duties at the IFRC have been assumed by former British Red Cross head of fundraising Jeremy Hughes, who has taken the role of head of external resource mobilisation.
