IPR hires Ingham as head of PA

The IPR has appointed Francis Ingham as head of public affairs with a brief to develop accountability and PR measurement policy.

‘We need to engage with businesses and the public sector,’ said director-general Colin Farrington, pointing out that while the PR industry is not highly regulated, comms practices are increasingly scrutinised, triggered by government moves on issues such as food marketing.

Ingham worked on Tory Steve Norris’s London mayoral campaign. He replaces Nigel O’Connor, who quit to join Eloqui as an account director.
