Irish firms enter pilot PR scheme

Irish government agency Enterprise Ireland has picked five innovative Irish companies to benefit from media relations campaigns that will build their UK profiles in a pilot programme this year.

Johnson King PR has been handed a £66,000 budget over four months for five separate pushes to promote the firms to the media as contributors to discussions of industry issues.

Johnson King account director Joe Banks said the campaigns would take the companies – which operate in industries including housing and agriculture – beyond trade media as they attempt to expand into the UK market.

The pilot runs from September and if successful is set to expand in 2005.
