Lancaster plugs sustainability

Lancaster City Council has teamed up with The Local Agenda 21 Partnership to promote sustainable living.

A campaign will target residents and businesses in a bid to make people’s lifestyles more environmentally friendly.

‘Agenda for Action’ highlights a range of actions people can take to make their lives more ‘sustainable’ and will adopt a fresh theme each month.

The community will also be encouraged to share ideas via a competition called ‘No hiding your projects’.

A council spokeswoman said: ‘Agenda for Action is a celebration of projects that local people are already doing and an idea of how to make life in the local district more sustainable.’
