African body sets up online portal

The Commission for Africa, recently set up to examine the continent’s economic, social and environmental development, has launched a website.

Designed by web comms consultancy IconZest, the site is designed to encourage suggestions of what should be included in the commission’s draft report.

The commission will publish a draft of its objectives in February next year.

An IconZest spokeswoman said: ‘The site taps into genuine concerns and enables people to contribute to the commission’s work.’

The commission is headed by high-profile figures such as Bob Geldof and African political leaders.
