Cardiac charity to host 2005 week

Cardiac Risk in the Young is set to stage its first awareness week during 2005 to mark its tenth anniversary.

The news emerged as the charity launched a campaign this week to highlight the condition known as sudden cardiac death in the young.

The charity is using retained agency Trinity PR to promote the campaign, which was set to involve the unveiling of a poster-sized version of a new postcard at the House of Commons this week, featuring the photos of eight people who lost their lives suddenly to previously undetected heart conditions.

People will be urged to send postcards to their MP urging them to join the charity’s All Party Parliamentary Group.
