Orange to ramp up govt comms

Orange is on the hunt for a lobbyist to cover Westminster and the devolved assemblies as it prepares to launch its 3G service.

The government relations executive will be one of two, alongside internally promoted Nick Stringer, and will report to government and public policy manager Simon Grossman.

Grossman said: ‘The devolved assemblies are an area which perhaps we haven’t looked at as closely as we could have.’

The move follows the departure in May of public policy director Peter Dunn, who left for a mobile phone company in Jamaica.

Earlier this year, Orange appointed LLM Communications and Connect Public Affairs as joint public affairs advisers.
