California ends First PR contract

California Tourism has pooled its PR account into its existing trade marketing agency McCluskey International, axing incumbent First PR as part of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s drive to cut the state’s budget deficit.

The body, which exists to promote California as a destination to Britons, has used McCluskey for the past three years to promote the ‘golden state’ to tour operators.

The 12-month contract is worth £122,000.
