Danish Tourist Board in PR hire

The Danish Tourist Board (DTB) has promoted Astrid Ruffhead to its top UK media relations position as it prepares for the 200th anniversary of the birth of Hans Christian Andersen.

DTB director Henrik Kahn said a major PR initiative is planned for the writer’s anniversary in 2005, for which Ruffhead, as press officer for UK and Ireland, will take responsibility.

Ruffhead will run the DTB press office and create consumer and trade media campaigns.

Ruffhead replaces press and PR manager Pia Dandanell Christensen, who has taken up a role in DTB’s Copenhagen office.

Kahn added that DTB’s UK PR activity was much greater than most European tourist boards.
