Diary: T-Mobile rocks... er, in a car park

It was a strange mix. Business executives in suits, casually attired hacks and R'n'B fashion fetishists packed into a car park decorated with white sofas and potted trees.

But PRWeek thoroughly enjoyed the T-Mobile launch party of Earphones, its new mobile 'music jukebox' that allows consumers to download the latest tunes.

Yet the most unusual part of the evening was partying with Lamarr, Jamie Cullum and Boy George's entourage in a car park.

When asked why T-Mobile chose to hold the event there, press office manager David Hanney said: 'We wanted it to have a bit of a Hollywood feel.' Er, yes.
