AHC plans September forum to debate ROI

The Association of Healthcare Communicators (AHC) is planning to debate and make recommendations on return on investment in PR at an industry forum due in September.

A group of 45 senior industry figures, including in-house procurement officers, have been invited to participate in the debate to be held at GlaxoSmithKline premises and managed by the AHC’s evaluation sub-committee, as the next stage of the association’s Evaluation Toolkit, launched last year. Heads of the IPR and PRCA have also been invited.

Sub-committee member and Red Door Communications MD Catherine Warne said: ‘This is not an issue that can be solved with an easy fix. It requires careful thought.’

A benchmarking survey on the subject is being drafted to generate quantitative data which, together with the results of the debate, will produce a discussion paper for wider consultation.
