Creditors to hire Eurotunnel shop

Eurotunnel’s creditors are set to bring in Brunswick to advise them on PR just two months after the financial PR shop lost its account with the debt-stricken company.

Brunswick is understood to have beaten off competition from several financial comms specialists to secure the role in a search that was called two months ago (PRWeek, 21 May), although a formal contract has not yet been signed.

The appointment of Brunswick to advise the committee could raise some eyebrows in the City. The agency advised Eurotunnel’s previous management, until a shareholder revolt, led by the former French presidential candidate Nicolas Miguet, ousted the board and installed a new CEO and chairman.
