Ketchum fills UK healthcare role

Ketchum has appointed a former Ethical Strategies director as an associate director in its UK healthcare team.

Caroline Magee joined the Omnicom-owned agency this week and leads a six-strong team handling pan-European promotional work for Organon’s contraceptive ring product NuvaRing.

Ketchum is promoting NuvaRing alongside Munro & Forster Communications, which started work for Organon in the UK in March.

NuvaRing, a monthly contraceptive that is inserted into the vagina, is expected to launch in the UK by the end of 2005.

Ketchum’s Washington office was last week appointed to co-ordinate a global PR campaign for Tygacil, an injectable antibiotic that may combat hospital-based infections such as the ‘superbug’ MRSA (PRWeek, 25 June).
