The IPO is scheduled between September and November this year.
For Concept PR, the account is similar to recent assignments for some of the country's biggest IPOs, including the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Maruti Udyog, the Bank of Maharashtra and BAG Films.
UTV, which started as a television production house in 1990, has a diversified portfolio comprising operations in motion pictures, television software production, air-time sales, advertising films production, post production and broadcasting. Retained agency Good Relations will work on a soon-to-be-launched 24 hour children's channel, Hungama TV, which is being jointly promoted by UTV and its founder and CEO Ronnie Screwvala.
Himanshu Kapadia, chief executive officer of Concept, said 'We would be handling all the corporate PR and advertising and will work on image-building of UTV in a run-up to the IPO.' Concept PR will work on road shows, both nationally and internationally, events, analysts and financial institutors meeting apart from media relations.
Concept PR also handled media relations for the initial announcement for IPO and Screwvala concluding a buy back of shares deal from News Corp. (STAR) and partly from Canadian pension funds CDPQ to consolidate his shareholding, pre-IPO to 54 per cent in UTV Software Communications Limited.
