Former financial services practice head Child-Villiers departed from FD last week and has been placed on six months gardening leave.
FD chief executive Charles Watson told PRWeek that Child-Villiers had decided to ‘take some time out from the world of financial PR’. But Watson would not comment further on his departure aside from saying that the firm was ‘grateful for the contribution he has made over the years’.
Child-Villiers declined to comment. It is understood that he does not have a job to go to.
He was one of 17 MDs at FD and moved to a business development role spanning the firm’s six practice sectors earlier this year .
While he continued to work with FD’s financial services clients, which include Aviva, former Natwest head of investor relations Geoff Pelham-Lane took on the head of practice role.
