Barkers wins RCS anniversary brief

The Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) is to launch a wave of PR activity around its 500th anniversary in a bid to raise its profile with the public and Government over the next 18 months.

RCS has appointed Barkers PR to run the campaign following its battle for the account with Beattie Media.

Along with a remit to promote forthcoming exhibitions and publications about its quincentenary, the agency aims to ensure the RCS’s views on issues ranging from working time regulations to surgeon recruitment are represented in the media.
