Invest Northern Ireland calls in Stakeholder for PR

Invest Northern Ireland (INI), the state body for economic development, has drafted in Stakeholder Communications with a brief to encourage inward investment through PR and public affairs.

Former founder of Irish agency DCL and Stakeholder MD Tom Kelly will lead the account with ‘some input’ from chairman and Labour peer Baroness Mary Goudie.

‘We will help INI to compete with other inward investment agencies for share of voice, particularly for investment in the mobile telephony and ICT sectors,’ said Stakeholder client director Mark Hutcheon.

‘One of the things that is often overlooked is the workforce that is educated to the same or a better level than in the rest of the UK but with significantly lower wages and property prices,’ he added.

The agency will highlight the number of FTSE 250 companies based in Northern Ireland as part of the campaign.

Stakeholder takes over from Citigate Communications.
