The Borkowski PR founder will perform an illustrated stand-up show, entitled Son of Barnum: A Stunt Too Far, in which he will 'recount some fatuous reminiscences of his extraordinary "career" in PR', according to the promotional blurb.
More specifically he will 'reflect on' what he describes as 'the forgotten heroes of the Hollywood publicity treadmill' from the 1920s to the 1950s.
But will the Scottish capital be interested? After all, his five-day run is on each day at 11.45am, the sort of time when many of Edinburgh's stand-up devotees may still be nursing hangovers.
'Well, I could be the perfect hair-of-the-dog treatment,' he reflects, before adding that he's had no training to deal with hecklers and has only ever formerly been to the annual event in a 'behind the scenes' capacity.
