Public Sector Brief: Greenwich pupils in 'walking bus' campaign

GREENWICH: Gallions Mount School pupils in Greenwich were this week taking part in what they hoped to be the longest 'walking bus' - a procession of supervised children - in history. The attempt was part of a wider campaign to reduce congestion caused by school runs and to ensure the safety of children en route to school. Twenty-five schools in the borough have signed up to travel plans that detail how they intend to support the scheme.
