Public Sector: Stirling housing brief for Pagoda

Stirling Council has appointed Pagoda PR as comms adviser for the proposed transfer of housing stock to a non-profit-making landlord.

The appointment for the Stirling Community Ownership programme followed a five-way pitch and will last for the two-year run-up to a public ballot.

Pagoda will embark on a programme of public consultation about the proposed transfer, which includes leaflets, media relations, newsletters, a website, exhibitions, roadshows and door-to-door visits. The programme will be carried out in consultation with the council's housing staff.

The programme purports to improve council housing while releasing money to councils, which goes on to help set up not-for-profit organisations to manage the housing, according to Pagoda director Giselle Dye.
