McIntyre takes Accord PPP role

Contract services group Accord has hired former CBI head of modernising government Amanda McIntyre in the newly created role of director of public affairs as it bids to strengthen its commitment to public-private partnerships (PPP).

McIntyre worked at the CBI for 18 years, latterly as a specialist on PPPs.

The firm services a number of local council contracts, including managing the largest council estate in Europe in Barking and Dagenham.

McIntyre said: ‘Today’s public-private partnerships are a world away from the simple, lowest-price tendering of the past. But there is still not enough information in the public domain about what the best partnerships are achieving.’
