Targeting mothers and children, the brief involves promoting the Chiquita brand and the nutritious value of bananas. The campaign will target consumer media and will seek product endorsement from health professionals.
The campaign will be run from Edelman’s Hamburg office and rolled out in Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland and Slovakia. Weber Shandwick and Hill & Knowlton also pitched.
The appointment will run until the end of the year. The win supplements Edelman’s hold on Chiquita’s corporate PR and CSR account, which it has held since 1996.
