NBC buy boosts Creston profits

Creston, the marcoms group that bought Nelson Bostock Communications last October, has this week posted a 130 per cent increase in pre-tax profits.

The company said profits rose from £910,000 in 2003 to £2.36m in the year to the end of March 2004.

Creston CEO Don Elgie said Creston was ‘seeing the fruits of the integration of businesses acquired in 2002 and 2003’, which also included EMO Group.

Creston said that as the UK’s 15th largest PR agency, Nelson Bostock had shown resilience with full-year operating profit up by 16 per cent on the previous year.
