Public Sector: PR skills warning for Birmingham

PR companies in Birmingham and Solihull are falling behind other professional services in the region on staff development and training, according to new research.

The study, commissioned by Birmingham and Solihull Learning and Skills Council and lobbying groups Birmingham Forward and Birmingham Future, identified a gap in technology and software skills.

PR companies in major cities across the UK are now being warned to take heed of the research if they are to avoid a skills shortage.

Almost 200 firms took part in the study, which also aims to share examples of best practice among the professional services sector.
