Waterford brings in Powerscourt

Luxury crystal and pottery maker Waterford Wedgwood has drafted in Powerscourt to handle UK and international media relations around the £136m sale of US pots and pans subsidiary All-Clad.

Powerscourt co-founder Rory Godson is advising the Irish company on the deal, which is also using retained adviser College Hill Associates for analyst relations.

Godson reports to Waterford chairman Anthony O’Reilly, with whom he is also working on the flotation of Eircom.

Waterford announced on 2 June that it was selling Pennsylvania-based All-Clad to Groupe SEB, the French owner of Rowenta, Tefal and Moulinex.

French PR company Image 7 is Groupe SEB’s retained adviser.
