The marcoms agency hired the two-floor tribute to turn-of-the-century burlesque naughtiness and treated 450 invitees to stocking and suspender-clad gymnasts, an almost-naked fan dancer and a male stripper.
Sadly, Banner founder, chairman and CEO Rod Banner and his 'bannerites' declined these exhibitionist roles, leaving a troupe of professionals to wrap themselves around the overhanging balconies and move mechanically to a piped cabaret soundtrack.
Banner tried a curtain-raiser earlier in the evening, regaling bannerites with his 'technology is my friend' mantra and a pledge to raise £10,000 for children's charity NCH by September's media sleep-out, 'Byte Night'.
Banner is planning to repeat last year's charity challenge and will sleep rough on 17 September, along with 20 others from the technology and media industry's great and good.
But we'd still like to have seen him singing in stockings and suspenders.
