Norris, a Coke stalwart, is understood to have left without a job to go to.
Norris has held the title of external affairs manager since January, when Tim Wilkinson was drafted in from Coke’s Asia operations to take a new top UK comms job, a role senior to Norris’s.
The exit of Norris, who was unavailable for comment, has come as little
surprise to Coke sources, who suggest the creation of a superior role for Wilkinson was a factor behind the exit.
Wilkinson, who is looking for a replacement, insisted his own appointment ‘in no way denigrated Martin’s abilities or his role’.
