Motorcycle Show in PR hire

MCI Exhibitions has appointed Capitalize to handle PR for its International Motorcycle and Scooter Show as it attempts to boost visitor numbers over the 200,000 mark.

PR spend for the annual Birmingham show, to be held in November, has increased to represent half of its £1m three-year marketing budget, said MCI managing director Finlay McAllan. McAllan added that Capitalize would work more closely with its ad agency The Real Adventure to refocus communications on its core target group of motoring enthusiasts.

Capitalize won a pitch against incumbent Weber Shandwick and Golley Slater PR.
