Norton Rose hires Twomey

Corporate law firm Norton Rose has poached Grandfield head of professional services Sean Twomey to lead its revamped comms department as head of PR.

Twomey is set to leave Grandfield just nine months after joining the firm as a senior account director from top-five City law shop Allen & Overy, where he was head of banking PR since 2001.

Prior to that, Twomey spent three years as head of PR at corporate law firm Denton Wilde Sapte.

Twomey’s appointment plugs the gap created by last year’s departure of Juliet Sychrara, who joined international engineering services company Amec as UK comms director.

Twomey reports to Norton Rose head of business development Marcia Levy.

Grandfield senior account director Kristina Blisset is to take over the running of the firm’s professional services group.

One of Twomey’s most recent tasks has been to run a campaign to promote BPP Law’s status as exclusive provider of legal training to the City’s top law firms (PRWeek, 1 April).

Twomey joined Grandfield to replace director Paul Jaffa, who left last year.
