Diary: Hit or miss ... Chelsea Flower Show

The opening of the Royal Horticultural Society's Chelsea Flower Show on Tuesday garnered reams of positive coverage from an enthusiastic press. Not even a widely publicised spat between TV gardener Diarmuid Gavin and six-times Gold medal winner Bunny Guinness could detract from the horticultural love-in which saw papers produce special editions in anticipation of the event, while eulogies declared green to be the colour theme of the show - 'Green Queen Looks Serene,' gushed the Daily Express. And all that from just six PROs working overtime in the RHS press office.
